Marvel Homes
Reviews & Testimonials

In their words.

We build five to eight homes a year, so we will never have a wall of anonymous five-star ratings. What we have is families who worked with the same two people from the first conversation to the keys, and who will tell you about it.

Client stories

Hear it from the families who live in them.

The clearest way to judge a builder is to hear from the people who lived through the build and moved into the result. These are real Marvel owners, in their own words.

From our clients

The conversations that mattered.

From the moment we decided to do a knockdown and rebuild, passive house was at the top of our checklist. Right after the building started, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. His condition caused some delays, but Marvel Homes was extremely patient and understanding. They even made sure we could move in before my husband's surgery date, so he could recover in our brand new home. The total build time was under 15 months and we've lived here a year now. The humidity is controllable and I don't worry about mould and mildew after winter anymore. We no longer blast the heater or aircon and worsen my son's eczema. We haven't just built a house, we've invested in our family's health and wellbeing. When the economy was tough and we saw many builders abandon their projects, Marvel kept on and delivered.

Alisa SiRiverwood, Google review

We brought on Marvel Homes on a recommendation from a consultant in the passive house industry. Through every phase the team were professional and always available, and they simplified complex conversations so we were all on the same page. I'd recommend Marvel Homes, and passive houses in particular.

We engaged Marvel Homes to rebuild a detached home and they met and exceeded our expectations. We got our DA approved by council in 31 days from submission. From concept to final building plans the whole process was executed on point.

The patterns

What owners say, again and again.

Across different sites, budgets, and families, the same four things come up.

Honesty from the first call

Owners consistently mention how early the hard conversations happened. What the site allows, what the budget really buys, and whether Marvel was the right fit at all.

No cost surprises

Because the contract is fixed-price after pre-construction with no open allowances, the number agreed at the start is the number at handover. That shows up in the feedback again and again.

Engineering you can feel

Two engineers on every project means the structural and performance decisions are made by the people accountable for them. Clients describe it as building with people who actually understand the home.

A home that simply works

The comfort is what owners talk about most after moving in: stable temperature, fresh air, quiet, and the disappearance of cold rooms, condensation, and mould.

Don’t take our word for it.

The most useful review is a conversation with someone who has already lived through the build. When a project looks like a genuine fit, we will connect you with owners of completed homes so you can ask the questions that matter to you.

Ask to speak to a past client

Common
questions

About our reviews.

Can I speak to a past Marvel Homes client?

Yes. Once we have established that a project is a genuine fit, we will connect you with owners of completed homes so you can ask them directly what the process was like. We would rather you heard it from them than from us.

Where can I read independent Marvel Homes reviews?

Owner feedback is available through our Google Business profile and on request. Because we build only five to eight homes a year, we will always have fewer reviews than a volume builder, but each one comes from a family we worked with closely from brief to handover.

Why doesn't Marvel Homes have hundreds of reviews?

By design. We take five to eight homes a year by choice. A tight team does the building and the directors stay across every project. A builder with hundreds of reviews is running a different kind of business. We would rather a small number of clients who would build with us again than a large number who never met the builder.

What do clients most often say about building with Marvel Homes?

The themes are consistent: the engineering depth and honesty in the first conversations, the absence of cost surprises because the price is fixed after pre-construction, and the comfort of the finished home, a stable temperature year-round, fresh air, and the end of problems like cold rooms and mould.

The next step

Become the next story.

Start with a conversation about your block and brief. If a Marvel build is the right fit, we will say so quickly. If it is not, we will tell you that too.
